Caption: The evolution of an American Institution. 1960's. Leave it here a second. It's a thing they call the "Super Bowl." 1970's. Commercial break! I'm gonna grab some food. And I'll get myself a cold one. 1980's. Wow! Ever seen anything like that? Nope. What's a Macintosh? 1990's. Dallas 31 Buffalo 10 3rd quarter. Hey guys! The ads are on again. 2004. Well, the ads for AOL weren't quite as lousy and the one for Levitra, which wasn't as horrible as the one for FedEx which wasn't .... it took 'em 38 years but they finally made the halftime show entertaining.

Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2011-05-15 Pub. Date: 2011-05-15
Image Number: 60879
Caption: This is Loserbanc Massacard. Mr. Brown, our records show you have an outstanding balance of $1,198. Loserbanc? You guys charged that off way back in like 1994. Do you know what year this is? You guys fell of my credit report a decade ago. How would you like to rectify the situation? I wouldn't. But .. .the moral thing to do is pay us what you owe us. How "moral" was it for you to make me pay thousands more than I ever borrowed in late fees, mysterious "finance charges" and your sky-high APR? Our terms were legal. Well, it's also legal for me to refuse to repay a debt that you charged off so long ago. I can accept payment over the phone. Good for you! I can tie my own shoes. Our mommies should give us each a cookie.

Image Number: 57404
Caption: Hello, you've reached Feudalbanc Massacard's fraud protection department. This is Ryan, how may I hinder you? I'd like to report some fraud. I noticed my APR has been increased from 12.5% to 29.9%. … Even though I've never missed a payment, my balance is really low, and I've been a customer of yours for over a dozen years. You sent me a letter saying you jacked up my APR because my debt-to-limit ratio on a card from a different company is too high. Why does my owing someone else money mean you get to rush in and charge me more? Um ... sir, you said you had fraud to report. Haven't you been listening, Ryan?
