Viewable Date: 2012-05-13 Pub. Date: 2012-05-13
Image Number: 79921
Caption: (Mathematical symbols) You're tellin' me this is an anti-gravity suit? I don’t believe it. Not only that, I refuse to take part in any more of these wacko, harebrained experiments of yours. I'll give you a box of Pop-Tarts. So how do I put this thing on? You see, Joules, my theory is based on an amazingly simple equation that builds on Einstein and Newton. HEY! IT WORKS! Quite simply, I multiplied your mass times the ... Um ... Oops. Oops?! What does "oops" mean?! Somehow or another I misplaced a decimal point in my original equation. CRASH. So, I have this theory for warp-speed running shoes. Can I please just have my Pop-Tarts? Erase. Erase.

Image Number: 79279
Caption: But, dad, people thought the Earth was the center of the universe until Copernicus came along. All I'm saying is don’t dismiss my "twelve-year-olds are better drivers than adults" theory just because your little brain can't comprehend it. Whoa! Did you hear what I thought I said? Do you suppose Copernicus' parents sent him to his room too? Shut up!

Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2012-04-14 Pub. Date: 2012-04-14
Image Number: 79199
Caption: Kids are put on this earth for one reason only: To make sure adults don't get any sleep. It's a vast conspiracy run by a cabal of population-control fanatics. Kids equal sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation equals early death. Early death equals seven billion people on earth instead of seventeen billion. So "they" encourage us to have more children so there'll be fewer people? I didn't say I had every little detail worked out.

Image Number: 77953
Caption: According to Zeno's paradox, you and I would be immortal, Rosencrantz. If life is a journey toward death, then to arrive at that destination we'd first have to travel half a life. Then half our remaining life, and so on; infinitely forever. But you're overlooking one crucial flaw in that theory. What flaw is that. Zeno's dead.

Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2012-03-28 Pub. Date: 2012-03-28
Image Number: 77952
Caption: Zeno's paradox theorizes that I can never actually reach my destination. If I have to travel one mile, first I have to reach half a mile. Then I have to cover the remaining distance, then half again, and so on. Ever distance, no matter how small, can be divided in half infinitely; so I can never actually get where I'm going. That still doesn't explain why you're always late.

Caption: Traditional Values Coalition. Tonight: Evolution Shmevolution. I must say, I was so tickled at your invitation to share with you my theory of our origins! What better time of year than now for the world to stop all this grubby fussing and agree to the obvious: Intelligent Design was key to our stupefying advanced spiritual and biological development. Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Heavenly Intervention. But that was the intelligent part.
