Cartoonist(s): Mike Peters
Comic/Cartoon: Mother Goose and Grimm
Viewable Date: 2009-06-14 Pub. Date: 2009-06-14
Image Number: 35178
Caption: Paper or plastic? Paper bags are made from trees. Trees clean our air. I can't destroy trees. Plastic stays in the landfills for 1000 years, it doesn't decompose. Trees lessen greenhouse emissions. We need trees to survive. Plastic pollutes our oceans and rivers. Every piece of plastic created is still on earth. I hate these multiple choice questions.

It's every citizen's duty to get involved. Ok, ok, I'll take your straw poll. Ask! Doe you like paper straws or the plastic bendy straws? Participating in democracy can be hazardous.
