Viewable Date: 2012-04-07 Pub. Date: 2012-04-07

Caption: You know the worst thing about the Trayvon Martin killing? The way people started tripping all over themselves to pretend it wasn't racial, and to make him look like the villain just because he wore a hoodie and made some typical dumb teenage mistakes. Or maybe the worst part is that that's what America always does when it comes to victims like Trayvon. Oh, I thought the worst part is that Trayvon is gone. Um ... That too.

Image Number: 76741
Caption: Don't you wish you could've gone out on top? Don't you wish you could've had a huge comeback before the end? My family and friends never stopped surrounding me with love. I'd say that means I did go out on top. And I'm about to have the biggest comeback there is. I was thinking more like something I could download on my iPod.

Image Number: 76740
Caption: It's ok. You can use my struggle and my death as a teachable moment. You're only talking about your image of me, not the real me. You may have had a poster of me on your wall, but … you weren't with me to see me mature and see how truly blessed I felt. My songs may have connected with you deep in your soul, but ... you don't know me. I was actually more of a Prince fan. Not. At all. My point.

Caption: Whitney Houston visits Lemont's dream. Does all the talk about your battles with addiction bother you? I saw Nancy Grace on tv right after you died. She implied you O.D.'d or something. She said you showed up to a party all glammed up, and then when you left you were disheveled and sweaty. That just tells me Nancy Grace has never been to a party.

Caption: Anything interesting on the news? They said someone famous died. Oh? Too bad. Who was it? I don't know. Some guy who used to be on a tv show. I can't remember his name. I never cared for him. And the sad thing is, the chances of him eventually winning you over are pretty slim now.

Caption: Whitney Houston visits Lemont's dream. Why'd it have to end so soon? It always ends soon. I don't mean to sound selfish, but … I'm sick of the artists I love dying on me when they had so much left to give me. That doesn't sound selfish at all. When you see Michael Jackson and Octavia Butler, tell them I said thanks for nothing!
