There was a sale on blue paint at Home Depot. Oh.

Caption: I had grandpa swallow a capsule equipped with a tiny camera. It's really cool, like the movie "Fantastic Voyage." Is that his stomach? Actually, dad, the robot appears to be entering a peppermint stick forest. See the red and white stripes? Ooo … And there's his heart, looking almost like a crooked old peanut brittle house, pumping out little red gooey gumdrops carrying oxygen to the body tissues. Oh, no ... get ready for a slowdown as we slog through the molasses swamp that's his central nervous system. This is ludicrous! Don't you see there are serious health issues here? Whoa! You're right! That box of hamburger helper is not supposed to be there.

Caption: Atomic Gossip. That oxygen is dating two hydrogens at the same time! If those hydrogens find out he's dating them both, things could get frosty! Or they might get angry --- things that would heat up and boil over! The situation with those three isn't as crazy as the nine oxygens, three nitrogens, five hydrogens and three carbons all living together in a very tangled web of personal relationships! Yeah, that nitroglycerin bunch --- that's an explosive situation!

Image Number: 53962
Caption: 1982. You see WHAT when you look at that cloud, Lemont? I see a star. Clouds are floating water. Water is two hydrogen atoms bonded to one oxygen atom. Hydrogen was the first molecule formed after the Big Bang, and it lived in the hearts of primordial stars. Those stars went supernova, and blew hydrogen and molecules and elements across the universe. Those elements coalesced to form everything in our solar system, including you, and me and the clouds. Even boogers? When I see a booger, I see a star.

Caption: Broker. Stocks. Bonds. It looks like a chaotic financial market down there. The gene for height is short selling. An oxygen teamed up with a couple hydrogens to make bonds and create liquid assets. Those simple sugars are buying fast-rising energy stocks that'll probably crash later. And the helium atom is selling everything. I think he has to make a balloon payment!

Image Number: 49503
Caption: It looks like everybody down there is watching their atomic weight and trying to stay buffed up for beach season! The oxygen molecule is doing aerobics, and chlorine has been swimming laps in the pool all day. Mercury is racing around the track and, of course, the ferrous molecule is pumping iron. That shiny guy just stopped somebody from coming in without paying. He shouldn't do that. The neutron is never charged, and besides ... it's not gold's gym!
