Caption: I'm trying to reduce my Christmas stress by living "in the moment." I read that most stress is either in the past or in the future, not right this very moment. So I'm trying to live "in the moment." Are you living "in the moment," Earl? Nope. I'm living on a gorgeous beach in the Bahamas, and you're blocking the sun.

The prefrontal cortex, which encodes explicit memory, is not active at birth. And the hippocampus is too small to transfer experience into long-term storage until age three. Jerry Scott
Comic/Cartoon: Baby Blues
Viewable Date: 2011-08-28 Pub. Date: 2011-08-28
Image Number: 64427
Caption: Haw! Haw! that sure brings back fond memories! Remember when our kids did the exact same thing? What a mess! Yeah. Only when our kids did it, it cost $800 to fix the carpet and repaint the living room, which took us six weeks because the only time we could anything done was at night after they went to bed. Oh yeah. When stuff happens on a sitcom, everything gets cleaned up and resolved in thirty minutes! In real life, the pain lingers! You're right about that. I say from now on, we take all our memories from TV.
