Comic/Cartoon: The Brilliant Mind of Edison Lee
Viewable Date: 2012-03-11 Pub. Date: 2012-03-11
Image Number: 76825
Caption: I see puzzles as great metaphors. For example, human arrogance often tricks us into forming incorrect conclusions about things after seeing only a few pieces of the big picture. Putting these 4 pieces together might lead you to think this is a picture of what? I know! I know! It's a car! You didn't know I was so good, did you? No need for further demonstration. It's not a car. Guess again with these additional pieces in place. Ooo ... Wait! Is it a cabbage? Not even close. Duh! I see it now! An elephant ... African, I believe. Sorry. Ya know, just go ahead and enlighten yourself with these additional 4, 986 pieces. Apparently not everyone can handle the big picture.

Caption: I'm starving! No, you are not. People in war-torn Africa are starving … You, however, have enough fat to last you weeks … You're right … … What I should have said is, "I'm so bad-tempered with hunger, I'll knock the block off anyone who annoys me" … Yes ... Though, on reflection, "I'm starving" is an excellent metaphor ...
