The Patriot Act helps us spy on terrorists in the USA, helping us thwart vague threats I won't bother to tell you about. Renewing it was just plain right. Our next guest: Senator Obama from 2005. Hello, Tom. This legislation puts government above the law. Warrantless searches ... No right to appeal ... This is just plain wrong. Tom, me from 2005 I naive and a threat to national security. Caption: Osama Grinch Laden. The Grinch hated the Whos! And the more the Grinch though of the Who's growing influence the more the Grinch thought, "I must stop the whole nuisance!" Then he got an idea! An awful idea! I'll murder a bunch of Whos on September eleven, wait a few years then slaughter more on July seven! "Pooh-pooh to the Whos!" he was grinch-ish-ly humming. They're finding out now that no security is coming! They're just waking up! I know just what they'll do! Their mouths will hang open a minute or two then all the Who's will cry BOO-HOO!" So he paused. And the Grinch put a hand to his ear. And he did hear a sound rising over the snow. It started low. Then it started to grow. But the sound was entirely sad! Why, this sound sounded hopeful (albeit a bit mad)! It couldn't be so! The Whos were determined to carry on as they had!
