Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2006-09-21 Pub. Date: 2006-09-21
Image Number: 14742
Caption: Facing fierce criticism, ABC has decided to re-edit its new docu-drama, "Path to World War II." "When you take on the responsibility of telling the story behind such an important event, it is absolutely critical that you get it right," according to ABC. "For instance, the key scene where Dick Cheney parachutes into Hitler's bunker and kills him with his bare hands. Gone." In other news, ABC has announced a new docu-drama, "Path to the Civil War," starring Vin Diesel as George W. Bush.

Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2006-09-20 Pub. Date: 2006-09-20
Image Number: 14727
Caption: Lemont interviews ABC Television about its docudrama "Path to World War II." Listen there may be inaccuracies but only to enhance the drama. We get all the basic facts right. You show Condoleeza Rice firing Macarthur when he warns them Japan's about to attack. Doesn't that make it more dramatic? And I don't think Macarthur carried a light saber.

Cartoonist(s): Darrin Bell
Comic/Cartoon: Candorville
Viewable Date: 2006-09-19 Pub. Date: 2006-09-19
Image Number: 14683
Caption: Hello, ABC Television? Lemont Brown, from the Candorville Courier. Is this about our new docudrama, Path to World War II"? Yeah, I'm curious about a few key scenes. Like the one where you show a whole contingent of CIA guys surrounding Mussolini's underwater cave in 1936 but Bill Clinton fails to give them permission to nuke him. And? Well, first of all, the CIA wasn't even created until 1947. Artistic license.

Caption: ABC Television is under fire again for material in their new television movie, "The Path to World War II." Producers admit that some key scenes were fabrications. Such as the one showing Bill Clinton refusing to give the CIA permission to kill Adolf Hitler at the 1936 Olympics. "It may not have happened like that," according to a network spokesperson.
