Caption: Yesterday I bought some socks at the store. It came to $19.51. So I said to the clerk, hey . . . 1951! That was the year Harry Truman fired General MacArthur. She looked at me with a blank stare, so I had to explain to her all about MacArthur and Truman and the Korean War. I was in the express line, so I had to give her the Reader's Digest version, but she didn't seem very interested. And before I could finish, the people in line behind me began getting upset and starting to mutter, so I had to cut it short. So, anyway, I'm not allowed in the express line anymore.

Caption: In an alternate reality, the events of 1948 happen instead of 2009. Sorry, boss, I can't possibly read this depressing news in an excited tone. I'd feel like a heel. Yer a good man, Brown. You got principles. But what the people want is excitement, see? I don't know, boss. I got another story for ya to read, then. The headline: "Miracle Cure for Principles Found! It's Called Getting Fired!" President Obama says "It's better not to point fingers" and pardons the Japanese war criminals who tortured our boys! Now that takes moxie!

But I think winning an election is more important than protecting kids. I'm John McCain, and I approved this garbage. "Sir, we mistakenly aired the dry run" better be code for "everything's peachy," or someone's getting fired.
