Cartoonist(s): Berkeley Breathed
Comic/Cartoon: Opus

Image Number: 12589
Caption: Steve, for 25 years we've been coming up here on New Year's Day to celebrate the glorious ridiculousness of life by casting off our vestments of conformity and lying naked in the periwinkle. So? So I sense a chill in the air. We're being watched. Shut up. Lie down. Everything's fine. If this were the comics. we'd be censored. Nonsense. This isn't exactly a faith-based activity. Yes it is! "As he came from his mother's womb, so he will go again, naked as a jaybird. -- Ecclesiastes 5:15. Well, maybe like America herself, I'm just becoming modest! Not all but in spots. Edited. I'm sorry. There's not "jaybird" in Ecclesiastes.
